Warranty and Return Policy
Effective Date: October 21, 2025
This Warranty and Return Policy applies to equipment, replacement parts, components, and other products sold by Agri-Can Supply Ltd. (“Agri-Can”).
1. Return Authorization Required
No product may be returned without prior written authorization from Agri-Can.
Before returning an eligible product, the customer must contact Agri-Can and obtain a valid Return Authorization Number (“RAN”). The RAN must be clearly included with the return shipment.
Returns sent without a valid RAN may be refused and returned to the customer at the customer’s expense.
2. Eligible Parts Returns
Parts may be considered for return only when they:
- Are unused;
- Have not been installed or mounted;
- Are in their original, unopened packaging;
- Are complete and in resalable condition; and
- Are accompanied by a valid RAN issued by Agri-Can.
All returned parts are subject to inspection and approval by Agri-Can. Agri-Can reserves the right to reject any return that does not meet the requirements of this policy.
Approval of a return authorization does not guarantee that the return will be accepted or credited after inspection.
3. Non-Returnable Products
The following products are final sale and are not eligible for return:
- Whole machines and equipment;
- Special-order parts or equipment;
- Bearings;
- Seals;
- Belts;
- Electrical components that have been opened, connected, or installed;
- Used, installed, assembled, modified, damaged, or incomplete products;
- Products that are not in their original packaging; and
- Products purchased on clearance, liquidation, or other final-sale terms.
Agri-Can may authorize an exception in writing at its sole discretion. An exception is not valid unless it is provided in writing by an authorized representative of Agri-Can.
4. Restocking Fee
All authorized returns are subject to a restocking fee equal to 20% of the original invoiced price.
The restocking fee will be deducted from any approved credit or refund. Original shipping, handling, assembly, inspection, and other service charges are non-refundable.
5. Return Freight
The customer is responsible for all costs associated with returning a product, including freight, packaging, insurance, handling, brokerage, and applicable taxes or duties.
All return shipments must be prepaid. Agri-Can will not accept collect shipments or shipments for which freight charges are payable upon delivery.
The customer remains responsible for the product until it has been delivered to and accepted by Agri-Can. Agri-Can is not responsible for products lost or damaged during return transportation.
6. Refunds and Credits
Approved returns will generally be credited to the customer’s account or refunded using the original payment method, at Agri-Can’s discretion.
Any approved credit or refund will be calculated after deducting:
- The 20% restocking fee;
- Original freight and delivery charges;
- Repair, repackaging, cleaning, or inspection costs;
- Missing components or accessories; and
- Any reduction in value caused by damage or improper handling.
No credit or refund will be issued until the returned product has been received, inspected, and approved by Agri-Can.
7. Paid Repairs for Used or Damaged Equipment
For up to two years following the original delivery date, Agri-Can may, at its sole discretion, agree to inspect or repair used or damaged equipment following receipt of a written repair request.
This repair service is separate from warranty coverage and does not mean that the repair will be performed at no charge.
Unless Agri-Can confirms otherwise in writing, the customer is responsible for all costs associated with the inspection or repair, including:
- Inbound and outbound freight;
- Packaging and handling;
- Labour;
- Replacement parts;
- Shop supplies;
- Travel and mileage; and
- Any applicable taxes or third-party charges.
Agri-Can may require an inspection fee, deposit, or written repair authorization before beginning any work.
Manufacturer Warranty
8. Manufacturer Warranty Coverage
Unless otherwise confirmed by Agri-Can in writing, warranties applicable to equipment or parts are provided exclusively by the original manufacturer.
Manufacturer warranty coverage is generally limited to defects in materials or workmanship arising from the manufacturing process.
Agri-Can does not provide any additional warranty, representation, or guarantee beyond the applicable manufacturer’s warranty unless Agri-Can expressly agrees to do so in writing.
Warranty coverage, exclusions, procedures, and remedies may vary by manufacturer and product.
9. Warranty Period
The standard manufacturer warranty period is generally 12 months from the date the equipment or part is delivered to the original end user, unless a different warranty period is specified by the manufacturer.
The applicable manufacturer’s written warranty terms will govern where they differ from this policy.
Warranty coverage does not restart or extend when a product or component is repaired or replaced, unless the manufacturer expressly provides otherwise.
10. Warranty Registration
Where a warranty registration card or registration form is required, it must be completed and submitted to Agri-Can within 30 days of the sale or delivery of the equipment or part to the end user.
Failure to submit the required registration information within this period may result in the manufacturer denying warranty coverage.
The selling dealer and end user are responsible for ensuring that all registration information is complete and accurate.
11. Submitting a Warranty Claim
All warranty claims require prior written approval from Agri-Can.
Customers and dealers must submit warranty requests to Agri-Can and must not contact the manufacturer directly unless instructed to do so by Agri-Can.
Agri-Can will make reasonable efforts to submit the claim to the applicable manufacturer and request warranty coverage. Final approval remains subject to the manufacturer’s warranty terms, procedures, and decision.
Agri-Can does not guarantee that a manufacturer will approve a warranty claim.
12. Required Warranty Claim Information
A warranty claim will not be considered complete until Agri-Can receives all required documentation and information, including:
- A completed warranty claim form;
- A copy of the applicable sales invoice;
- The dealer’s and end user’s contact information;
- The purchase and delivery dates;
- The date the defect or failure occurred;
- The product model and serial number;
- The tractor, skid steer, vehicle, or power unit used with the equipment, where applicable;
- The work being performed and operating conditions at the time of failure;
- A detailed description of the alleged defect;
- Clear photographs and videos showing the product, serial number, defect, and affected components;
- A description of any troubleshooting already completed;
- An itemized estimate of the requested parts and labour; and
- Any additional information requested by Agri-Can or the manufacturer.
The customer must stop using the product where continued operation could cause additional damage or create a safety risk.
Agri-Can may deny a claim where continued use after discovering a defect causes or contributes to additional damage.
13. Claim Review and Approval
Agri-Can will issue a written approval, denial, or request for additional information within 30 days after receiving a complete claim submission.
The 30-day review period does not begin until all required information has been received.
No repairs, replacement parts, product returns, or other warranty work may proceed without written pre-approval from Agri-Can.
Unauthorized repairs, labour, parts, or other expenses will not be reimbursed.
14. Warranty Remedies
Where a claim is approved, the available remedy will be determined by the manufacturer and may include:
- Repair of the defective component;
- Replacement of the defective component;
- Supply of replacement parts;
- Reimbursement of approved labour; or
- Another remedy authorized by the manufacturer.
Replacement of an entire machine is not guaranteed and will be considered only where expressly approved by the manufacturer and Agri-Can in writing.
Defective parts may be required to be returned before replacement parts or credits are issued. The customer must retain all allegedly defective parts until Agri-Can provides written instructions regarding their return or disposal.
15. Labour Reimbursement
Labour associated with an approved warranty repair will be reimbursed only where labour reimbursement has been authorized in writing before the repair begins.
Approved labour will be reimbursed at the applicable manufacturer’s current warranty labour rate and approved repair time.
The following are not covered unless expressly approved in writing:
- Travel time;
- Mileage;
- Service-call charges;
- Overtime or premium labour rates;
- Diagnostic time beyond the approved allowance;
- Equipment rental;
- Lost production or downtime;
- Recovery or towing charges; and
- Unauthorized labour or repairs.
Any difference between the manufacturer’s approved reimbursement and the repairing dealer’s or service provider’s regular rate is the responsibility of the customer.
16. Warranty Freight Costs
Unless the applicable manufacturer agrees otherwise in writing, the customer is responsible for all inbound and outbound freight, packaging, handling, brokerage, duties, and transportation costs associated with a warranty claim.
Warranty approval for a part or repair does not automatically include freight reimbursement.
Agri-Can will not accept collect shipments unless Agri-Can has provided prior written authorization.
17. Cosmetic Damage
Minor cosmetic scratches, paint chips, fading, blemishes, surface rust, discolouration, or other superficial damage that does not materially affect the operation, safety, or performance of the equipment or part is not covered under warranty.
Customers must inspect shipments promptly upon delivery and record visible shipping damage on the carrier’s delivery receipt before accepting the shipment.
Freight damage is not a manufacturing defect and must be reported separately in accordance with Agri-Can’s shipping and freight-damage procedures.
18. Warranty Exclusions
Warranty coverage does not apply to damage, defects, failures, or deterioration caused by:
- Normal wear and tear;
- Misuse, abuse, negligence, or improper operation;
- Accidents, collisions, fire, flooding, freezing, or other external events;
- Improper assembly, installation, adjustment, maintenance, or storage;
- Failure to follow the operator’s manual or maintenance schedule;
- Use with an unsuitable tractor, skid steer, hydraulic system, power unit, or attachment;
- Exceeding the product’s rated capacity, speed, pressure, horsepower, or operating limits;
- Continued operation after a defect or abnormal condition becomes apparent;
- Unauthorized repairs, modifications, welding, or alterations;
- Use of unauthorized or non-approved replacement parts;
- Contaminated, incorrect, or insufficient lubricants, hydraulic fluids, fuel, or other operating materials;
- Corrosion, weather exposure, environmental conditions, or improper storage;
- Consumable or wear items, including blades, cutting edges, teeth, tines, belts, bearings, seals, hoses, chains, tires, filters, shear bolts, and similar components, unless the manufacturer confirms a manufacturing defect;
- Freight or handling damage; or
- Any other cause excluded under the manufacturer’s warranty.
19. Limitation of Responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Agri-Can is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from a product failure, warranty claim, repair, or delay.
This includes loss of use, lost production, lost revenue, crop loss, substitute equipment costs, rental expenses, labour downtime, towing, recovery, or other business interruption losses.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
